Other Methods Available
There are other methods of stretch mark removal, just like the other methods they will not totally remove stretch
marks like the surgical method will, but they will help to diminish the appearance of stretch marks. These methods include, blue light therapy, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels.
When using blue light therapy, a photosensitive gel is applied to the affected skin and is then exposed to bursts of light energy. This method helps some people, primarily with newer stretch marks. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels both work the same way. They are both used to remove the top layer of the skin. Microdermabrasion uses fine crystal spray while chemical peels use chemicals to accomplish this. New cells then form, and younger skin cells take their place; these skin cells produce more collagen and elastin. Both of these methods require little recovery time, and they usually take a short amount of time. Multiple procedures might be necessary to produce the most benefit. Neither method will totally remove stretch marks, but they will help to fade them, and reduce their appearance.
